Lovely83 hopelijk zijn ze allemaal nog in orde... Mocht je wel contact kunnen krijgen, ik las deze tips van iemand die uit Kosovo was gevlucht, misschien kan een van je geliefden hier iets mee...
I’d google plants in your area and see if they’re edible.
If there’s a house close to you that has a well, i’d go to stay there.
Hide in basements.
Put important things in jars. Close them properly, put them in plastic bags and then bury them.
If you can find flour, buy as much as you can. It lasts a lot and it will soon cost A LOT.
Keep cash. Keep a lot of it. You will need it to pay soldiers to let you live, and to buy something to eat.
If you can find big plastic buckets, you can surround a room with it and put your important things in that room. Also put buckets of water everywhere near windows. If they want to burn the house, the water will help against the fire.
If they come to your house and demand you open the door, it’s best to open it. Otherwise, they’ll think you’re hiding something.
If you can flee, do flee. Don’t expect the country you go to, to love you. They’ll look down on you. But work hard and stay humble until you can create a safe future for yourself.
P.s. take pictures of all your documents and send them to your email, and to the email of your family and/or friends living abroad. You might loose your documents. You can open your email from anywhere. Do it now! You might loose internet and electricity. (Id, passport, school diplomas, medical documents, certificates etc).
Also look for land/ ownership documents. You might need them after the war, in case someone seizes your property.
If you can translate documents to English officially, do it. You might need them if you flee.
